PAST CASES
I have been involved as an articling student, junior lawyer, and senior counsel in land use planning issues since 1975. Many changes in attitudes and regulatory landscapes have occurred over these many years but, for a lawyer, the constant is the need for preparation, organization, and studied advocacy in advancing client causes. The Ideal is to achieve the client's goal at the level of the first approval authority, whether it be a committee of adjustment, land severance committee, delegate, municipal council, Minister, or one of a myriad of other approving bodies at every level of government. Appeals involve untoward expense and uncertainty. Below are lists of cases in which I acted as senior counsel. The list entries are linked to each case and one and all may be perused for information
